The art of ringing church bells or campanology has been around since the 8th century. It can be a job of calling the local church-goers to a service or a hobby much enjoyed by people up and down the country.
It is mainly based in the UK but there are ringers in America and Australia too, though not as many as we have here.

If you are interested in becoming a church bellringer it is a worthwhile activity and doesnt take a huge amount of time to pick up. If you contact the people at your local church and ask them they'd be more than happy to help.
